Q: "IF I HAVE MY OWN SKATES, DO I NEED TO BOOK A TIME SLOT?"
A: Yes and no. You don't need a time slot for The Bentway. It's a public city space free to use. The Bentway is frequented by many skaters already, and we are catering to those who don't have their own skates or want to try skating.
We require you to book a time slot for CF Shops at Don Mills, as our skate trail has a capacity limit. You can book your time here.
Q: "DO I NEED TO BE 18 YEARS OLD TO RENT?"
A: Yes, all skate renters need to be 18+. Skating can be a dangerous activity and our insurance policy only covers people 18 years and older. Every adult skate renter must sign their own waiver, confirming their date of birth. (Waiver sent in confirmation email.)
Q: "WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RENTAL?"
A: All payments are non-refundable. Should your original reservation need to be changed, you can reschedule yourself using the link in your confirmation email. Please make any changes at least 12 hours in advance. (Think of your skate session like a booked fitness class).
Q: "WHAT IF IT RAINS?"
This is location dependent.
At The Bentway SUSO is open rain or shine! The skate trail is covered by the Gardner Expressway and remains dry. Due to safety precautions, our team will contact you if we are unable to open due to extreme weather conditions.
Our rooftop skate trail at CF Shops at Don Mills will not be open in heavy rain. We will notify you of any closure due to weather, and we’ll be happy to work with you to reschedule your skate to another time.
