Our Story

Why are the vast majority of roller rinks and skate rentals confined to indoor?

That was the question we asked ourselves during lockdown while looking for fun date night activity.

We couldn't find anywhere in Toronto to rent roller skates outdoors, so we created our own.

Inspired by long summer days spent outdoors, SUSO Skate Co. (short for summer solstice) was born. Fast forward to today and SUSO has opened 10+ pop-up locations and a mobile roaming roller van.

We pop-up, transforming unique, underused spaces with the goal of creating good vibes and memorable moments for the communities who skate with us.

Our mission is a simple one - get people active and having fun, while reducing the time they spend on their digital devices. Less screen time for kids and adults alike is surely a good thing, right?

We strive to create a meaningful experience you can share with your friends, family or partner. SUSO is a safe place for people to try skating for the first time, meet like-minded individuals, and benefit from the awesome physical and mental aspects of skating.

SUSO reimagines underutilized, typically empty spaces. We create visually impactful and high energy skate experiences that get communities rollin', while driving footfall for our location partners.

Meet our awesome team

Our front of house staff is the special sauce behind SUSO. We rely on them to keep vibes high, offer skating tips and tricks, maintain the safety of all skaters, and of course, help capture photo-worthy moments. Our team will add a smile to every skater’s face—young and old, new and pro.
